Haines Hunter launches 600 Classic

Haines Hunter will unveil the newest addition to its fold at the 45th Annual Melbourne Boating Industry of Australia (BIA) Boat show later this month.

Haines Hunter Managing Director, John Haber, is confident the new and improved 600 Classic will exceed the expectations of boat buyers across the Country.

“We believe this is the best value for money, all-round fishing boat the market has to offer,” Mr Haber said.

Packages retailing from $62,000, the new 600 Classic boasts an impressive range of standard features including:

large storage bins
a lockable glove box
fully moulded side pockets with rod storage
large live bait tank
automatic bilge pump
single and twin engine options

Innovative new bottom and top deck designs maximize space and incorporate an impressive range of creature comforts.

Amongst these are a fully retractable luxury lounge, stainless steel rod holders and the largest fishing cock pit of any 6m boat on the market.

Despite its luxurious fittings the 600 Classic is also well-equipped to handle all off-shore conditions thanks to its solid fiberglass frame and ‘Performance Deadrise Vee’ (PDV) hull.

The release of the 600 Classic follows hot on the heels of the huge success of its sister boat – the award winning 650 Classic.

Haines Hunter won a Commendation award in the Trailerable Fishing Category of the 2005 AMIF Australian Marine Awards.

Again with the 650 Classic they won Fishing Boat of the Year award in the Modern Boating Powerboat of the Year Awards.

The decision was based on the boat’s performance in the categories of safety, performance, value for money, ‘fishability’ and innovative design.

Both the 600 and 650 Classic boats are the result of eighteen months of research and development by Haines Hunter – and there is no denying this was time well spent.

The insight gained through this research has allowed them to design a boat that delivers the requirements of a hardcore fishing boat, without compromising on comfort.

“Rather than us telling the market how we think the product should be, we wanted the market to tell us how to build the boat,” Mr Haber said.
