490 Prostrike - Trailerable Fishing Boat Of The YearAdded 12th Oct 2006
The Australian Marine Industries Federation (AMIF) has announced its Boat of The Year Awards and once again Haines Hunter have made the list. The 490 ProStrike beat a long list of finalists to take out the Fishing Trailerable category. The boat was released in June of last year, and is the result of a collaborative effort between Haines Hunter, Shimano and some of Australia’s fishing greats including Andrew ‘ET’ Ettingshausen and fishing gurus Ian ‘Barra’ Miller and Chris Wright. With some of the best brains in the business working together it’s no surprise the 490 ProStrike has emerged as a winner. Its performance and handling are equalled only by its impressive list of standard fittings and finishings, including:
The ProStrike’s specially designed hull also makes it one of the most versatile boats on the market, taking you wherever you want to go. Whether you’re taking on chop or you’re out on flat water the ProStrike can handle it all with ease. Haines Hunter managing director John Haber is extremely proud of the 490 ProStrike’s performance. “We’re very proud that Haines Hunter’s commitment to excellence has been recognised with the 490 ProStrike being named Trailer Fishing Boat of The Year,” Mr Haber said. “The ProStrike is the outcome of extensive research and development as well as listening to customer feedback. “We have taken all of this feedback on board to produce the number one boat on the market this year.” The 650 Horizon also received an award this year being awarded a commendation in the Trailerable Cruiser category. |
